We also have bear proof infrastructure available to expand the condominium recycling program to complexes in need. For a free consultation and to get your business or condo complex started CONTACT US today.

The state of California and the Town of Mammoth Lakes mandate commercial recycling for businesses and multi-family residential locations. The regulations took effect July 1, 2012. Details and links on the state mandate provided at the bottom of this page.

We will provide the infrastructure needed for your participation in this recycling program. SCP will assist in designing a custom recycling program for your project and provide all start-up materials.

We deliver and install specialized recycling collection containers and equipment to meet the specific needs of your development. Indoor and outdoor containers are costly and often limit business owner’s ability to implement recycling programs. This program provides containers at no cost to you.

The Sierra Conservation project will provide educational material and assist in the training of your staff to ensure the efficient operation of the recycling program.

Finally, Sierra Conservation Project services recycling containers on a weekly basis or as needed to keep your program running smoothly without additional work for your employees. We handle the separation and preparation of recyclable materials, your staff simply places recyclables in provided containers and we handle the rest. Pickup and sorting service costs start as low as $35/month depending on the volumes generated.

Sierra Conservation Project is proud to protect our environment and to educate our surrounding communities the importance of recycling.

According to CalRecycle  AB 341 (Chapter 476, Statutes of 2011 [Chesbro, AB 341) and Senate Bill 1018 that went into effect on July 1, 2012 requires a business that generates 4 cubic yards or more of commercial solid waste per week to arrange for recycling services.

For more information on state laws and business recycling programs visit the Town of Mammoth Lakes.

With increased awareness and community involvement the hope is to increase recycling rates to 75% statewide by the year 2020.

Multi-Family units of five or more are also required to recycle (special rates may apply). For more information please visit the Town of Mammoth Lakes.

Sierra Conservation Project works closely with the Town of Mammoth Lakes and Cal Recycle for grant funding to help minimize costs associated with local jurisdiction and state laws.
